I have moved on too, didn't watch the game either.....to be honest, forgot all about it. Read the article about the game and in the comments, found if funny that all the OU fans talking about their 8-3 win and how they dominated Texas. It was just a few days ago that we beat OU 9-3, I guess that means we dominated them? Oh well, looking forward to next year...it should be a good one. Just need to find a quality SS to replace Wallace if you can replace her, she was the heart of the team.

There’s a lot of heart still left on this team. Remember, the rest of these girls had to carry Skylar through a rough month (for her standards) this year. It’s part of what made this team so tough, imo. Knowing that they could pick up their teammates no matter what.

Oh I agree and didn't mean that the rest of the team didn't have heart. This team played as hard as any of the past few years. You never knew who would be the one to get a big hit or make a stellar play. The future is very bright but replacing Skylar will be key. I don't know if there's someone on the team that can step into the SS position of if Walton will be looking in the portal.

I thought we had a freshman coming in, but don’t follow softball recruiting that closely.

We do. Gabi Comia is a big time recruit and she is an athlete. Very good basketball player and plays SS.

FWIW....after their win in OT over us in game 2.........I went on our softball X page and (aside from some Vol ass hat) read quite a few comments from OK fans giving us respect and admiration for how well we played this season and in particular against them.

If we're no longer in it......I have no problem supporting them in their quest for another NC......

The way I see it is we prepped OU to win their 4th title. Had we not played them, Texas could very well have swept OU. Let's see what Texas does in Game 2 before crowning OU's 4th in a row.

To each their own. I don't want Texas to win but I REALLY don't want Oklahoma to win again.

Gabi has a bright future at SS for the Gators in my opinion. Great hitter, defense and speed.

Did I miss some sort of foul tip on last batter or did the great texas catcher screw up by not taking home on a wild pitch?

Texas changed their pitcher in the 3rd inning while the game was tied 2-2. Weren't even in trouble. Just made a change.

    Crazy......

I can't get over Oklahoma essentially having home field advantage in EVERY game they play in the tourney. A really unfair advantage that needs to be addressed.

They won't move it since it's sold out every year.

How many Oklahoma seniors have been major contributors or starters for 4 years? Is this the best softball class if they are part of 4 titles? Just wondering if most of them were bit players for a couple years and now are starters with a bigger role.

While playing in OKC seems like an advantage for OU, it's really the eight figure payroll.

Y'all think Gasso might retire after winning tonight?
