    Norwegian Collegian FTW!

    Truth be told I know Svein and taught him in a couple of classes and my wife knows him as well in her capacity as a lawyer.

    And when Pelphrey first came to UF and played pick-up with me he remembered Svein. He remembered that he was really big and strong. LOL.

    This must go to McDowell. In four years, he scored 1565 pts, averaging 13.4/game, with 9.1 rebounds.

    Bob Smyth is a serious competitor. He developed into one of the best big men to ever play for the Gators.

    Why? McDowell scored 1500 pts to Smyth's 1000. McDowell averaged 9.1 rebounds to Smyth's 8.4.
    McDowell's true shooting % - 59.5
    Smyth's true shooting % - 56.3

    tampa;

    I remember my Jr. year at UF, my fraternity (Chi Phi) had won the "big frat" BB championship the previous year and our rivals next door (SAE) were pissed so they got Bob to come play for them in 1980. I guess he was still working on his degree.
    Anyway, we shared two courts across the street from our houses and we were both practicing at the same time one day. Well words were spoken (I was actively involved) and we decided to have a full court scrimmage against each other. I had no idea who Bob Smyth was and since I was our tallest player at 6' 6" the choice was easy...................... "He was mine".....................:):)
    All I can tell you was after two games that took about an hour............. HE WORE MY ASS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, was he tough (and mean).
    And SAE won the championship that year...............

    If it was just stat lines Westbrook would have been NBA MVP for a lot of years in a row.

    I was in school (UF) for the McDowell years and have to go with the big (huge) fella...although I had heard good things about Smyth who I never saw play.
