Anybody preferring sentencing children to death over letting doctors implement the recommended treatments of the leading American medical associations is mentally ill.

I assume you aren't a proponent of circumcision?

Ban circumcision then? Or elective cosmetic surgery for anyone under 18?

If DT announces, he loses control of his PAC funds ($100M). I seriously doubt he really runs and gives up that giant grift unless it is his last chance at avoiding prison time. PAC can pay for virtually everything he wants to do. Refresh the jet, all travel, all dining, nobody challenges PAC expenses. Cuts his personal cash needs to practically nothing.

If debates matter, than Demmings would be crushing Rubio. They don’t matter. People have all made up their mind.

Even worse, the debate here happened so late, after voting started, that it was utterly meaningless. (Another reason Crist is running the worst campaign in history). There is no longer any time for. Ross to garnish any momentum.

Comparing circumcision to castration I find absurd.

People act like DeSantis performed poorly in this debate.

I think he did fine, it’s not a strength for him per se, but his B game at the debate is still better than the A game for a lot of, maybe even most, politicians.

The more I listen to debates, the more I think it’s a glorified pep rally with lies and platitudes than an infomercial for either candidate.

I think Crist and DeSantis are who everyone thought they were, and the debate didn’t really change anyone’s mind.

Circumcision is "surgical mutilation of children"

    Your words, not mine.

DeSantis was solid. Not Cruz when it comes to debates. But fine. DeSantis is best in public press conferences…

I think the conventional wisdom is that debates rarely matter except maybe in very close races where a few points can make the difference. I wonder what percentage of the fence-sitters even watch the debates. I assume it's mostly political nerds like us on this board who already have their minds made up after years of following these guys and their positions.

Every MAGA wannabe politician is best in one way communications where their endless streams of BS can't be fact checked.

No it's not, it's cosmetic and the patient is still functional.

I find it an absurd comparison.

Define the difference between "cosmetic" and "mutilation" that is not "I like one but not the other, and so I chose to frame one negatively and the other neutrally/positively"

If you look at his 2016 primary chart, all of the drops in his polling numbers were immediately after a debate (aside from the very last drop).

But debates have little lasting impact on sentiment, and Trump always made up enough ground in between the debates to avoid losing his front-runner status, even with the drops.

He may delay making a formal announcement of his candidacy for those reasons but I still think that he runs. Trump's ego and his Narcissistic Personality Disorder are such that he doesn't want to go out perceived as a loser. I do think there is the possibility that in the end Trump will endorse the candidacy of Ron DeSantis in exchange for a blanket pardon similar to that issued by President Ford on behalf of Nixon.

It’s not an absurd comparison at all. It’s needlessly mutilating a perfectly good infant penis because of the way it looks. Completely unnecessary since the advent of soap. Yet I bet you don’t bat an eye at that sort of mutilation AND it’s done without the child’s consent.
