His 'expertise' is classical studies, his views on anything else are just as dumb and uniformed as the average jughooting MAGA guy

Sorry but some of us are against cutting Meals on Wheels just so Trump and Bezos buddies can get a tax cut

Lovely talking points, so original. Let me guess... only the rich will get tax cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill?

Trump is trying with all the central planning. Enjoy your two dolls that the government deems you worthy of having.

I was wrong. I should have said that Trump's policies including cutting Meals on Wheels and child mental health so that we can increase the military budget to over a $1 trillion

I'm a Dem and I expect Trump's tariff policies to work as well as the Smoot Hawley Tariff Act.

Interesting analogy. I suppose it's no wonder that believers in prosperity gospel overwhelmingly support Trump.

    Link?

Pointing out how his policies are ill-conceived and doomed to fail is not the same as hoping they fail.

Really some amazingly short sighted celebrations here by MAGA. The more and more executive power MAGA grabs, the worse it gets for our republic long term. There will be a Democrat as president again after Trump. And they will have a LOT more power and likely be a lot more liberal than Harris would have been.

All of them? Certain ones? Can you be more specific or cite your evidence?

Well the policies are working when you just make up the results. We have right wingers calling mountains of employment data for years "fake" but then Trump comes out with this insane whopper and they are like "seems legit".

I see nothing wrong with that. It's true. Just as Republicans generally hope their counterparts are less than successful in many things . . . otherwise what will the opposing party run on? "Yeah, it's working fine, but we'll do it even better!"

May be more useful to ask, how do you see that "raising the temperature?"

Yep. Although I don't usually walk around talking about it, nor do I use it as a shield for criticism of my ideas. Mostly was just using it to demonstrate the issue when doing so. Academics often win awards. Most are pretty minor and not known outside the field.

Now can you answer my question? What awards has he won?

    Please tell us anything Trump has done that has been successful, besides things that are criminal or fraudulent. I'll start;

    - Laundering Russian money
    - colluding with Russia in an election
    - defrauding banks
    - bankrupting tons of businesses
    - setting up scam crypto funds
    - conning ignorant voters
    - hosting a reality TV show (granted, THIS is not criminal or fraudulent)
    - committing adultery
    - committing sexual assault

Can you name anything good he's been successful at?
