Defensive Recruiting Question under Napier

Man that hurts the eyes, not shocking looking at that how we struggled!

 

What makes it extra frustrating is that DT recruiting was already a pain point under Mac, which should've made it an even bigger priority under Mullen as he took over but apparently he and Grantham loved Tweener DEs too much.

 

And when he left MSU they had a rep for good defensive linemen.
Great posts Bobby, you look at D lineman AND linebacker recruiting and that pretty much explains the UF defense of the last 3 years.

While Todd Grantham is persona non grata around here, I don't think it's inaccurate to point out his pressure schemes did work when he had the talent. Remember UF / Miami the 10 sacks? When the talent ran out - well think tamu and LSU running the "up the gut" run play that UF could not stop. (over and over and over)

Patrick Toney was left with a tough assignment last year. Not sure anybody could have gotten much out of that group.
