Will be missed. I pray that the Lord comforts and heals the family. Take comfort that he is a far better place, free from pain and with our Lord.
No words. Sad moment for me. I’ve known him for a long long time and he will be missed by everyone. Prayers and thoughts to his family and I hope they can get through this difficult time. This place will be a different one without him and I would imagine it’s the same for all the places he was. All my love and prayers to David’s family. Adam
I am one of those that only visits the board during football season. Sorry to read this. Thoughts and prayers for David’s family.
Thanks for the obit. I was born in 1952 as well and started my professional career in the Federal Building in Jacksonville on Bay Street, just across the road from the CSX building, formerly the Seaboard Coast Line RR Bldg. I have never met hardly any of ya'll on these boards, but over the years there is a bond that is created by sharing Gator thoughts and memories. When one has posted for so long and then is gone, there is a void. Hopefully, younger ones will come along who will carry on the love of Gator sports and the camaraderie of sharing experiences and opinions with an open mind and a sense of humor. May David rest in peace and may his family find the comfort that only God can provide.
David? Growl? Oh, man. In the event you've become one of God's disciples and are a seer and knower of all, I'm apologizing for being so pissed off. This last game was awful. We're all venting and angry, apathetic and are losing hope. Maybe you can connect with Ray and jiggle the wires to the Gatortron. I selfishly ask for help because I'm starting to think I might not live long enough to see Gator glory. Not cuz I'm ill, but it's taking so long. We still use clocks down here. Anyway, I think I suddenly got old. "We are the boys..." "Won't back down..." Any help is greatly appreciated. Go Gators.
Oh I guarantee he's up there! Likely so irritated (if that's even possible in Heaven) he "couldn't watch any more of it." Coach Napier had better be warned since Growl will have a much bigger hammer now . . .
