I also heard the barbarians were closing in on Rome.
Specifically the Visigoths. They've probably finished the job by now.
What's the name of this ship? Was it Mayport home port? Desron 8?
So with each thread saying suspension for half a game, does that mean they’re out the whole game
I can just imagine the look on Emperor Hanorius' face when all those Visigoths attacked Rome.
yeah and why it wast more?
Reminds me of a scene from Band of Brothers.
Compton and Garnere are in a foxhole. Compton says “through these woods the Visigoths came to sack the shit out of Rome.”
Refs were calling a terrible game before that. Phantom offensive PI? After that all of a sudden it was fair. Just saying
carter served a half game Saturday. He is serving the first half against UGA.
But #90 for Mizzou only gets a half game against UGA in two weeks?! That's BS!
Probably because of the BS rule that if it happens after the end of 1st half it is considered to have happened in the second half.
Bad losing Carter for the first half.Hope we can hold it together until he's back in there for the second.
On the plus side, he'll be fresh. More than that, he'll have some pent up aggression to let loose. No fists this time.
The incident itself did not technically happen at halftime. Time had already expired in the first half, so the incident occurred during an untimed play during the first half. That said, Carter was clearly an aggressor in that melee throwing multiple punches and involved with multiple opposing players.
Thread hijacking sucks. Let's get back to the destruction of the toga clad please.
Thanks for the explanation
Actually, I think he should negotiate a $75K fine in exchange for the other three players being released from suspension.
It really bugs me when I hear since there was no time on the clock, the incident was considered to take place in the second half.
You know what? If we are going by the clock.....the clock hadn't even started yet for the second half!
Seems hypocritical to me.
I hear you Bazza...I guess consistency is what we all want...consistency and fairness. I recently saw an interview with a Head Ref where he stated that if time has expired for the first half, that moment on belongs to the second half. I believe he said it is in a rulebook, perhaps under definitions
Heard the same thing @FLIPCUP - hence my comments. Why bring the clock into it if they aren't applying the same reasoning with the "second half" comment?
Also an update on players out: Florida reported no new COVID cases per @nickdelatorre . So it should be a matter of getting guys back, no new losses.
