    Sigh. Another mass shooting. I’m sure this will be the last thread about one of these.

    Police: 5 dead, 18 hurt in Colorado gay nightclub shooting

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — An attacker opened fire in a gay nightclub late Saturday, killing five people and wounding 18, officials said. The club said the suspect was subdued by patrons.

    Authorities received a report of a shooting at Club Q at 11:57 p.m. and responded within minutes, said Lt. Pamela Castro of the Colorado Springs Police Department.

    The violence is the sixth mass killing this month and comes in a year when the nation was shaken by the deaths of 21 in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

    Castro had few details beyond the number of dead and wounded. She said the suspect was injured but didn’t know how and that the FBI was on the scene and assisting.

    In one sentence, it states that there is no known motive. But throughout the article it is called a hate attack and immediately blames extremists.

    Agenda?
    Will it get the same coverage if it turns out to be a lover's quarrel?

    Gay lover quarrel suggested above looks pretty unlikely. I’m thinking whacko gun nut more likely.

    No I don't fake sympathy. As far as an agenda, I think the media has that covered.

    Officials have stated they have no motive yet the media immediately goes to extremists without any information or proof.
    It very well could be an attack on the alphabet crowd or it could be a more personal reason that got out of hand. No one knows right now.

    Seems like an extremist. Seems more likely than worlds first gay lover quarrel that ended in a mass shooting. But there’s still hope.

    I have a gay friend in CO Springs that marked herself safe. I visited her a few years ago and really enjoyed the area. So awful that this stuff happens. This is the 2nd place she's lived that's had a gay club shot up. Just awful.
