Slavens just hit longest HR ever at this park(429) Breaking the tie between Pete Alonso & Eduard Jullien. Who were 424 I think

    Maybe ball is juiced

    * Updated Slavens to 436 ft.

What a performance by DeLucia to send Miss to the finals.

Dylan DeLucia throws a gem for the ages and Ole Miss will play for the national championship after being one of the last teams to make the field.

Of course, power outage right as the top of the 9th ended. Came right back on but took another 15 minutes for my cable box to reboot. Oh well - it was a great game and fantastic to see both starters go so deep.

    Hotty Toddy baby!!!!

That was a FAST game, Love to see pitchers get into a rhythm and pitch really well.

Both OU and Ole Miss ae playing great baseball. It should be an awesome best of two of three.

The problem is I will be seeing my oldest son over the weekend and he has no interest in baseball.

Well, I remembered I can stream these games so went back and fast forwarded it to see what I missed. Glad I did. First 2 batters hit ground balls and were thrown out with fantastic throws. Then the 3rd batter got two fastball strikes in a row the first 2 pitches! Then struck out on the 4th pitch.

Looking forward to the finals on Saturday and happy I can pull for the SEC team! I have nothing against Ole Miss. OTOH have NEVER liked Oklahoma....

    Hot Tod!!! :ninja3:

Didn’t like most of this CWS field. Going lesser of two evils, Ole Miss, for the finals.

Sadly OU is in MUCH better pitching shape so I think they bring home the trophy.

OU doesn’t have a ton of pitching depth.
Ole Miss gets past the first inning and they are fine. OU, for the past 3 weeks, does most of their damage in the first inning.

They may, and I hope they do, win a national title in baseball, but Ole Miss has no chance of winning national championships in football and in basketball. This means UF's SEC record of being the only team to do so those 3 sports remains inviolate!

This year only. Arkansas will break the barrier soon.

With the finals scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday (if necessary), when will Ole Miss march out DeLucia, particularly if Ole Miss drops the first game? Wonder what Sully would do in the same situation?

Relief in game 3 is only time he will pitch IMO. 2 or 3 innings max. Just my guess.

He’d throw a freshman reliever that had thrown 2 out of 3 days when he needed a legit 20 pitches from his stud who could have delivered 20 on 3 days rest.
DeLucia will be ready Monday if need be.

On 3 days rest I can see him throwing 40-50 pitches and he and his coach not batting an eye.
