It didn't for SOS. He resigned at Washington and left a year on his contract on the table. Of course, he was and is a rare exception.

 

Why am I not surprised that he's the exception to the rule?

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, SOS was always the exception to the rule.

We didn't get rid of him, he QUIT!

 

I keep hearing this thrown out there and there might be some truth to this. But why is this an issue? Could it quite possibly be that many do not want to contribute or choose not to because they see what we all see? That Billy isn’t the answer and they don’t want to see good money thrown out the window?

Lol. In 1980, all the underclassmen were stuck unless they wanted to sit out a year. These kids can all leave and probably get a pay bump.
