There are a couple coaches that have won 10 games their first year i think but i wouldnt call it a tread. Possible yes, to be expected no.. i think a certain amount of patients are needed as all restructures wont be the same. I wouldve fired napier last year after the Miami game. Stricklin should lose his job for not doing so unless it was not financially possible.
Napier made sure to surround himself with people who were good enough to be assistants, but never HC material. Ask yourselves, is there such a thing as the Billy Napier coaching tree? Almost a decade as a HC, who comes from his coaching tree? Sheer incompetence has something to do with it. But the way he and Stricklin intertwined their futures together (until Golden saved Stricklin’s behind), reeks of something more sinister.
Whatever this team played for this season it all ended vs UGA. Last night’s team played so bad you’d think they were imposters. This is the Napier effect. Play losing football. They’re so used to playing ball control field position football they don’t know how to go get points. They just know how to run clock. Napier should be held in breach of contract for creating that fuckery on the field.
Napier coached offense with a losers mentality- process, complimentary football, play the chains etc- ever one time hear him talk about SCORING? No. And it’s gonna take a while before our players think like that
Going through a process will always occur but doesn’t mean we can’t win immediately. Fans and admin openly supported Billy when he basically said we will win in a couple of years. His lack of urgency, emotion, etc was the big sign of concern to me.
Exactly. They’ve been molded into the product we see on the field. Now, let’s pretend those turnovers against Kentucky don’t happen. Without the turnovers UF wins at least by two TDs. But reality, the Napier effect, kicked in and we saw what the effect is. Losing football. From basement dwelling incels to the best HBC to ever coach the game, it was quite obvious that we had to have an explosive offense for this season to unfold correctly. We all knew we needed that OC. But oh no. Napier just wasn’t having any of it. I once supported that guy. Up to last season until that debacle at home against Miami and Texas A&M. That’s when I felt it wasn’t meant to be. But then this team goes into the bye week and comes out different. We finish 8-5 and looked promising. So I bought back in. Man was I stupid. If there’s any justice then Napier will never get another head coaching gig again and someone will steal all his payout money. He’s literally the guy “Mayhem” from the All-State commercials. Just laughing at our ass.
Joke of the Day - Gator Football Kentucky had one of the worst offenses in the SEC coming into the game yesterday. They did not punt once against UF.
That stat sticks out like a sore thumb. Worst offense in the SEC and didn’t have to punt the ENTIRE game.
I'm starting to buy the narrative --- Gators job ain't a top 10 job anymore, we absolutely suck worse than Kentucky and most acc teams. We are an embarrassment to football and higher level institutions. We are going to get murdered by ole miss, and lose to a joke of a team in FSU. I don't think there is a path forward, starting to think we are more a dumpster fire than LSU, not sure why a legit coach walks into this. We are a 1A highschool football team playing against 7A schools -- its over.
