It isn’t equivalent. Biden is odd, I see that. Trump supports sexually assaulting women and ogling 15 year old kids.
If you are cool with the kid thing, that is your choice.

There is something else that conservatives have to be concerned about, besides personal character. And that is the creeping tendency towards "socialism" and the decay of our free market economy as big government takes over. The road to socialism is a one-way street, because it is nearly impossible to take benefits away from people once you start providing them. We know that doing anything to Social Security is the third rail of politics, for example (not that I'm suggesting that SS needs to cut benefits). Socialism works reasonably well in the small to medium-sized countries of Europe, because there is a sense of responsibility of citizens towards their government, and government towards the citizens. In the U.S., there is a sense of opportunity in government--to get promoted, and to build your empire. When a crisis happens, the first response is not to deal with the crisis--it's to ask Congress for more money. If there is a way to get paid from government service without getting arrested for it, Americans will try it. That's why you have active politicians pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars for giving a speech to corporations. It's o.k. as long as no one calls it "selling influence", or a bribe, which is what it is.

The U.S. economy is the largest free market economy in the world, and its citizens view the government as an endless fountain of money. Some working class people fake or exaggerate an injury to go on disability. People connected to government see much greater opportunities to get rich. Kickbacks are not that unusual in government purchasing. And waste is very common, as there is little incentive to not waste money. If you don't spend every penny in your department's budget by the end of the year, they will take it away from you and give you a smaller budget the next year. So you spend it on things you don't need.
