Well, there’s something to be said about being part of a team and running out of the tunnel to 90k fans.
Yea, I have quite a few friends that played college ball even though they had no shot at going pro. Best and worst times of their lives at the same time.
Or, he lied to Ethan White about a promised starting job that he never got? It wouldn't be the first time that happened. So, for them both to save face they agreed that Ethan should keep his NIL money as a parting gift. Lol... just made that up.
white had an injury every season at Uf. An injury is more likely than Riley lying to white. I think it’s likely he has some degenerative shoulder issue (since he had multiple injuries there) or something similar. Though it’s my pure speculation.
Yeah, it's likely it's an injury. EW has been through a lot since getting to UF. He shed a ton of weight and still suffered an injury almost every year it seems. Maybe UF wouldn't clear him, or told him his recovery time might not be what he wanted to hear and that's the reason for the transfer (to get to a school that might overlook it). If it's career-ending, I just hope he got his degree beforehand so he's got something to show for it.
Ethan White could not stay healthy at UF. Injury rationale sounds plausible. Heard he allegedly could not come back to UF due to an alleged white powder problem. Perhaps untrue but Ethan and Mom reportedly did not depart on friendliest terms.
Ethan was good. You don’t make All Sec Team if your not good. Worth a conversation for sure. Was a good citizen and representative of the university. Never heard anything bad about him.
If his career is over due to injury, Napier could get some positive press by letting him back on the team to complete his degree or position himself to go into coaching.
Aside from NIL money, I wonder if he had an insurance policy that would compensate this all-sec performer in the event of a career ending injury?
That's an interesting point. I think you could only take those out as a senior but that could be outdated (or just flat out wrong ) Not sure how many mid to late round picks take those out anyhow, but for his sake I sure hope so
It would be cool if that happened, but he transferred for a reason and would be curious if he would want to accept that offer.
Ethan White just attended UF graduation ceremonies. Taylor came back and graduated while taking classes and playing for Jags. Floyd just graduated as well. Nice to see former number 1 picks come back and get their degree from UF. Gators Honored on Graduation Weekend - Florida Gators
