Im an equal opportunity deranged individual. I was just as mad when O and his AG were covering for Hillary and her private server because O was sending her emails and knew about her private server. If I recall properly I got a lot of winners from same people who now hit me with the bacon.

This is just sad. Trump has been President for over three years and is actually blaming Obama and Biden for not doing his job for him. The GOP has gone from the party of "personal responsibility" to the party of no accountability. It's disappointing to see people abandon the values they claimed to hold dear.

This brings it home for me. Didn't know Dr. Goodrich, but when I read how a world-class neurosurgeon was struck down by this not a flu I'm reminded that it's not about the numbers, it's about frigging lives. It's about this disease cutting short the lives of people who would otherwise live much longer than they did. Let's not forget this.

‘Humble’ NYC Doctor Who Led Miracle Surgery on Conjoined Twins Dies of COVID-19 Complications

Dr. James T. Goodrich died on Monday from complications related to the virus, Montefiore Health System tweeted on Monday, saying the Bronx hospital and its associated college was in mourning.

"Dr. Goodrich was a humble and truly caring man," the hospital said. "He did not crave the limelight and was beloved by his colleagues and staff: every year he baked holiday cookies and hand-delivered them to the nurses at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore."

The pioneering pediatric neorosurgeon spent more than 30 years at the Bronx hospital, where he was director of the division of pediatric neurosurgery at Montefiore Health System and professor of clinical neurological surgery, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

In 2016, he famously led a team of 40 doctors in a 27-hour procedure to seperate conjoined 13-month-old twins Jadon and Anias McDonald who were attached at the head. The risky surgery was a success, and throughout his career Goodrich became know as the world's leading expert on this lifesaving procedure.

Not only was Goodrich an elite surgeon, he put his patients and colleagues at ease. Jadon and Anias' mom Nicole McDonald posted about the doctor after he successfully separated her sons.

With every death, the world loses something. That something may not be as well known or of the magnitude as this doctor's gifts, but I believe every person is truly special at something. With each person who dies, we lose that gift.

Well said. Couldn't agree more. Every single death is a loss, a tragedy. When world-class neurosurgeons are struck down though it's a reminder that not even such people are immune. No one is and that should frighten people a bit. Right after I posted this I just saw on fb that my friend's father died (in NY), felt like a double punch to the gut.

Meh. Some people are only special at being the best at clearing the shelves of toilet paper and hand sanitizer or the first to pick up a bench and smash a store window in times like these. The loss itself can be a gift.

There are people like Dr. Goodrich who give to the world. There are others who only take from it. They aren't worth lumping in with everyone else.

On Feb. 29, 200 people gathered in Albany, Ga., for a funeral. Family and friends sang hymns, cried and hugged. Then they started getting sick. Doughtery County, with only 90,000 people, now has more coronavirus deaths than any county in the state.
Hospitals are overloaded, the National Guard has been called in.

Rate of increase for daily new cases is slowing. A hopeful sign.

Sad. Can’t grieve or celebrate together without risking serious consequences with this virus.

Is your rank heading 03/30 supposed to still be 03/24 like it was previously? Not much data yet available for 03/31 to compare to 03/30.

Thankfully Florida keeps sliding down the list.
