Hospitalizations are going down as are positivity rates. Very encouraging news, but we've seen it before so I'm not jumping up and down. I'll get excited when daily new cases and deaths start dropping like a rock.

For someone who was tied up with raising families and running businesses you sure were spending a lot of time posting in this thread. The model had the US going from 1000 deaths per day to 0 deaths per day in a matter of weeks. It didn't take a lot of time or effort to be highly suspect of it.

I freaking hope so. I'm going nuts. I need a good vacation ASAP. I'm thinking a cabin in the Smokies.

My wife's family has one in Western NC. We spent a week there last month. No masks needed. Just crisp mountain air and the 4 people that I love most.
Pack well and it is the safest vacation you can do these days.

Yeah those nurses weren't doing what they were told or anything.
Blame Cuomo...not the hard working front line nurses.

My wife has never been there so it's at the top of the vacation list currently. I would like to be vaccinated first so that we could enjoy some of the restaurants in and around the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. I've been craving food from the Old Mill Restaurant for almost 2 years now. Their fritters and butter are out of this world. The whole place is just awesome.

Four nurses probably isn't really hurting the overall number very much.

The ones in Kansas went against what they were told to do if you read the article.

There were many who did doubt it. And many other models that were more accurate. IHME was one of the most optimistic models and was pushed by the White House because of that. Here's a contemporaneous story about it:

This coronavirus model keeps being wrong. Why are we still listening to it?

Something about the crispness in the air just makes you feel a million miles from the masked up isolation we have right now. Hopefully soon my friend.

But they weren't throwing them away. I thought that Kansas just brought in outside nurses? Maybe I misread somewhere?
The throwing away came at politicians behest. Can't blame nurses in NY for that.

I get it...but we diod not know this 10 months ago without a deep dive. CNN was using this data too at one point. It wasn't just Trump.

It was wrong early on. I admit it. You nailed it. What else can be said.

It's going to take forever at the current rate. You come AFTER someone 65+ from Argentina visiting family, just so you know. So don't forget to haunt DuhSantis either.
