What was his ranking out of hs?
Cord Sandberg, 2013 Dual-threat quarterback - Rivals.com
Pretty solid and they played the best of the best!
If I were him, I would highly consider the value of an UF education. In the event his football career does not come to fruition, a degree from UF would seem to provide more opportunities than from Auburn or LSU. Especially if he wants to live in Florida after graduation.
Another great point. He will I'm sure. Really heady dude.
Truthfully most college diplomas are as valuable as any other. Unless it’s Ivy League , Stanford , MIT, Vandy they are all about the same value. So when we talk about recruiting this element is highly overrated. Just being honest
I get what you are saying but I still think having a UF degree and the network of UF grads out there would give you somewhat of an advantage in Florida.
Maybe a little ... bit if you interview well and preform in prior employment you have a great shot regardless of your school.
I agree if you have been in the job market but for new grads, which Sandberg will be, it should help.
If his major is a “ real “ one it problem won’t hurt. Most of these majors are a joke that a lot of athletes do.
Did Auburn offer him a scholly?
Winner. I work in DC and NOBODY is impressed w/ a UF degree. Maybe if you're applying for the PR spot at the DC Gator Club. Otherwise, you might be asked, "UF? That's the Seminoles...right?"
I don't get it when posters want to go to the education card. If a kid wants to get an education vs. a football experience he'll go to the Ivy League (see Jake Allen and Skyler Morningweg). He's not going to do that when choosing vs. UF & FSU. Most kids (non-athletes) growing up in the state of Florida are going to choose UF or FSU based on which school they were a fan of growing up. Not UF over FSU because of where they rank in US News school rankings...
Sandberg dumped us... but we are used to this by now. Kind of glad he isn’t coming . “We really didn’t want him”
I think UCF and Auburn offered schollys. Uf and lsu said he could walk on...if i remember correctly.
Where did he go?
Narrows to Auburn ( of course) , LSU AND NC state.
This will be Auburn 53 rd commit
Actually only 13 but 7 are 4-star so pretty good quality so far.
Hopefully fri nite lites gets us back on a roll. We need some positivity.
I think its a mistake for him to go to Auburn and lsu. At auburn the competition will be ridiculous with Nix coming in. And lsu he won't be playing for the same coaches in 2 years.
10 hour drive down 75 from where he is currently living with fiance’s Family. Auburn is closest to future in-laws house, so think he goes there with starter leaving after this season. Mullen really needs to keep recruiting that DT QB each year. We are a year or two away from having QB that can run the show
