    #18 to okc!

I’m thrilled for him, his family, the program and coaching staff. He worked his ass off after a tepid freshman debut and wow... it showed!!!

    Awesome!

Which Gators have shown such a huge leap from freshman to soph year? Obviously Joakim - maybe the biggest freshman/soph leap of any Gator hoops player. Has anyone else outshone Tre in this respect? Happy for him and now CMW has coached a first rounder.

Steal of the draft. OKC fans will be very happy with him alongside the traitorous and unsavory turncloak Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

I'm pumped to see him in OKC, still wish Billy D. was here too.

That gets rid of one of the knocks on CMW, he now has a player he recruited drafted in the first round.

Happy for him, it’s a good spot for him too. Top 20, and a place where he can still play a lot.

Interesting and surprising. I suppose he was drafted on possibilities rather than production. And the NBA game is probably more suited to him than the college game.

Very excited! I hope this helps CMW and his program. Now he has a 1st and 2nd rounder that he recruited. So much more to sell now. I’ve had my issues with Coach but I’m really pulling for him. Recruiting, visibility, etc. I think after yesterday we have a sea change in terms of the program’s perception. Probably CC next year as well. Now let’s have a good year and get past the first weekend!

    Defensive specialist?
I must admit I loved his pull up jumper from range, heck the ball would almost hit the ceiling!!! High arching jumpers that blow out the bottom of the net are fun to watch.

Congrats to both Tre and Scottie although I have to admit Scottie's pick was a bit of a surprise to me albeit a good surprise.

I’m not sure that White wants to market the fact that he recruited a sure-fire lottery pick and developed him into the 56th pick in yesterday’s draft.

I also don't understand why you work so hard to disparage MW. A seemingly good and honorable man. If you don't like the way he coaches that's one thing but you carry it to extremes.

Classic example of overhyped. #11 in the class yet couldn’t dribble.

Hall’s right. As the expression goes, CMW could walk on water and your first response would be CMW can’t swim.

Yep. Scottie is actually kind of lucky to have been drafted. I believe in his potential, and I’m glad he got the spot over someone else, but I can’t imagine there aren’t dozens more complete players out there right now. Scottie Wilbekin was 10x the player and didn’t get drafted. If he gets it together, he has outstanding potential. Just needs to get his mental aspects right and be more assertive. A lot of times, basketball players can forget to use all their moves and creativity that they practice in games.
