and the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes on their 4A State Championship. I had totally forgot he was the head coach there until I saw him honored at halftime at the Miami Dolphins game yesterday along with the other state championship coaches. Great Gators continue to do great things.

Unreal game and yes congrats to him but my son plays for Bolles so some mixed feelings there for sure. I heard Booker T. had coaches that had a heart attack and a stroke ( 2 different ones) so its a very feel good story for the school and the community. Bolles had a great season under first year coach Matt Toblin so good things ahead for them as well.

Yes... the the number of players who continue to wear #11... carry on the decades-long proud tradition that this number holds...
    Both on offense and defense!

A lot of respect for anyone that got #11 from SOS. AND a lot resect for SOS in not letting UF retire that number.

Glad no instant replay back in the day. Wouldn’t matter, it was 4th down.

Trying to figure out why replay would matter. Whether pass was forward or backward he caught in mid air so good to go. Or was there something else about the play?

Look again- His knee was quite possibly down before he threw the pass.

Would have been trouble these days. Go Gators!

I believe Ike Williams coaches the Orlando Jones Tigers who also made it to this year's final.

  13. I almost passed out on that play, I was screaming so loud in the Georgia Dome! Happened right down below me where I was sitting on the goal line about 40 rows up. That intercepted pitch basically sealed the game. 2 SECCG wins in person for me... I never dreamed we would see it in the 70's and 80's.

Eli Williams. Yes, he is doing a great job there. They will be a power as long as he is there.

    Ben Hanks was a Man!!
Some of the past defensive names just bring back memories!!

    Thad Bullard
    Alex Brown
    Ellis Johnson
    Lawrence Wright
    Gerard Warren
    Major Wright
    Reggie Nelson
    Sam McKorkle
    Dexter Daniels
    Tony McCoy
    Mike Peterson
    Brandon Siler
    Monty Grow

    The list goes on!!
When Mike Peterson was done playing at UF, I wasn't sure the program could make it lol He and Brandon Siler were as important off the field as on it!!!

Yep. Mike P. Was the man! The guy played QB in HS, yet started playing LB at UF. He also played as a true freshman ahead of Jevon Kearse and everybody knows who Jevon is(the freak). Mike was very underrated even in the NFL. He was a pro bowler though.

Colts told mike Peterson something to the effect that he was good not great and that's why he wasn't kept with the Colts. He bonded with then jags defensive coordinator Mike Smith and was very loyal to him as he followed him to Atlanta when he became head coach. I've heard nothing but great things about Mike Peterson as a person and player and he remains one of the most underrated Gators ever.

Same for me I got an instant headache from the screaming from myself and those around me. Wasn't the most important play in history ( Ya just had to be there ).

I live inDaytona beach so I was able to watch Bolles there twice this year. I lived in Jax area(Middleburg) for most of my life . Coached against The Bolles School many times . Used to have a lot of friends on their coaching staff. Baseball and Football
