Best sports movie of all time?
For me it's a tie between "Ed" 1996 and The Bad News Bears go to Japan (1978).

You’re all forgetting Bull Durham—although that’s not a movie you’d take your child to.

 

Love that band. Todd can shred guitar with the best of them!

 

Sports movies? The best?

It depends on your mindset. If you want inspiration, go with "Field of Dreams" and how sports replicates life. But if you want real entertainment (and isn't that what sports are for?) then I go with Major League. How can you not root for your team?

It is the sports equivalent to Animal House and life and priorities. And to that, I say (okay, I slur):

Went to a Colorado Rockies game a couple weeks ago. Seriously reminded me of the Major League movie.

When I think of Big Head Todd, I always think of the song "Circle."

 

Not to everybody's taste but I absolutely loved "Everybody Wants Some!!" but I am a big Linklater fan. And I like baseball. The movie is like Ball Four for college ball.

 

My wife's grandmother loved it.
