As long as they don't pull a "UNLV". That to me was as big of a gut punch as there has been. Even worse than Houston and Phi Slamma Jamma.
Obviously a great decision for us as fans, but I'm glad he went in and at least had himself evaluated, etc. Now he can fully round out his game for a better future draft pick. Welcome back, Condo!
AI says: To secure season tickets for the 2025-26 UConn vs. Florida basketball game, you'll need to inquire with both the UConn Athletics Ticket Office and the Florida Gators Athletic Department. Season tickets for both teams are typically sold by the athletic departments, not directly for individual games. The Florida Gators (UF) and Connecticut Huskies (UConn) are scheduled to play a basketball game on December 9, 2025, at Madison Square Garden in New York City as part of the Jimmy V Classic. This game is a rematch of their NCAA Tournament Round of 32 matchup from the previous season, where Florida won, according to Sports Illustrated. I signed up on the Jimmy V Classic website for early notification as to when tickets will go on sale. That may be the best bet.............
I don’t see Todd giving up switch D. We have some pretty versatile defenders and Todd hates wide open 3s. Also the danger with a guard penetrating inside is not teardrop shots but kickouts to open shooters or lob passes to slashers. Our switch D often forces opponents to run iso offense, which is a huge advantage for us.
That is why I said sag but not too much on the perimeter. What will slashers do? The same as the other driver: face a bunch of TALL and talented players on defense. Let them play tiddlywinks. All it will do is eat up shot clock time. And if your guy has been "juked" and you don't make your shot, your defender is 1/2 to 3/4 the way down the court ready for the TD pass. It seems pretty simple to me, do you want to die by a large score (if we are hitting our own shots and not getting into foul trouble) or die by just a little bit?
I wasn't a big fan of "Men at Work" but that video brings back college memories. The last thing I heard from them was they lost copyright suit for copying "waltzing matilda". Also - stay away from vegemite sandwiches.
