I've read several articles. I guess I'll just wait to see Mueller and his thugs final report

    So Mueller's investigators are "thugs"?

What does that make a group of people who have been convicted of engaging in various crimes with former Russian KGB and Russian mafia?

A little perspective is in order here.

Except that Comey said this long ago. For example, before we learned that Steele was right about Manafort. Comey has been gone for 2 years and much has now come out about the truth that Russian agents were on contact with the Trump campaign. When Comey was with the FBI, of course, the investigation was in its infancy. Besides the example of the Manafort contacts and Page’s trip to Russia, we also know that the Rosneft sale happened. So, while verifying the dossoer is legally immaterial, core elements of it are being verified as the investigation goes on.

And then you will disagree with the indictments and reports like you have repeatedly done here.

FBI Agents and kneeling football players are thugs but Paul Manafort and Roger Stone are good people.

We are through the looking glass here, people.

First of all, what Steele "wrote" about regarding Manafort is a direct copy of what Glenn Simpson wrote in 2009

but no one cared then cause he was buddies with the Washington elite......he is being punished for working outside that circle.

He is being punished for committing crimes. In partnership with former KGB and Russian mafia (money laundering and tax evasion), and while rigging elections for Putin in the Ukraine (more tax evasion for not reporting what he was paid).

The fact he was already employed manipulating elections for Putin, as well as being involved in criminal activities with former KGB and Russian mafia should be viewed as not just smoke, but a raging fire when viewed in context of the Trump campaign conspiracy with the Russians to manipulate this election. Especially in concert with all of the other criminal co-conspirators in the Trump campaign who were working with/for the Russians.

And six different foreign intelligence services warned us about this crap. The deep state narrative is bogus and silly.

Can't get around the fact that EVERYONE knew it and absolutely no one cared......until he worked for trump

and still not even then, they really didn't care until after trump won

so no, the deep state narrative is not bogus and it's certainly not silly

To begin with, and this shouldn't need saying, but if someone really was overlooking known crimes, then it doesn't change the fact that he committed those crimes.

Next, it defies logic that the IRS would know about major money laundering and tax evasion to the tune of tens of millions of dollars and just ignore it. Doesn't fly on face value unless someone was specifically protecting Manafort, and that seems highly unlikely in the Obama administration.

Finally, where is the evidence that "EVERYONE knew about it"? I've seen this claim be made, but never seen it backed up. Even though it's irrelevant, as a large number of crimes have already been proven.

What we do know is that Manafort was intentionally hiding his crimes from the IRS. As criminals tend to do. This came up in Gates' testimony against Manafort.

Rick Gates Claims That He and Paul Manafort Are Tax-Evading, Money-Laundering Criminals

I never said that Manafort wasn't guilty, I said mueller's investigation was a witch hunt and the attorney's he hired were thugs.

Except that they are no prosecuting someone who is guilty. So, the definition of a witch hunt is necessary.

Yeah, the "everyone knew" thing is an overstatement cannot be based in any true knowledge. People knew that Manafort consulted for Yanukovych, but a search of the news before he came back on the scene in 2016 doesn't turn up anything suggesting the kinds of criminal activities he was involved in. That said, a politico article on him from 2014, painted him as a bit of a mystery. And my guess is that many here probably didn't even know who Manafort was until Trump, or had only a vague recollection of him from the 1980s and 1990s.

If the Trump gang was getting away with crimes, they should have avoided the spotlight.

He must be involved in some pretty nasty stuff to be willing to go to prison for the rest of his life for lying.

    Take your pick:

    1. Russians will target his family
    2. Holding out for Trump pardon
    3. Has been lying about everything for so long he can't stop
    4. Better to lie about treason than tell the truth and be executed for it
