Or perhaps I hail originally from Canada, Yah!
Nope, Floridian, no excuse.
Actually... Floridian is a pretty good excuse.
Colin is solid in most aspects and numbers at the center position. I'd like to see him improve each of his stat categories a little. I think he will.
The biggest and most valuable stat to improve would be rebounding. He was at 6.4 per game last season. If he could get that over 8 rebounds per game, it would change everything. It sounds like a modest jump but the team would translate it to more points scored and fewer points allowed. He can get there (or higher) with more muscle.
Not to be a contrarian, here, but I can’t imagine that 1.6 more rebounds per game would “change everything”. This is kind of why I’m wary of analytics proponents. It’s more complex than what you are suggesting. It would have to first be an overall positive net 1.6 rebounds for the entire team to have an effect. If other guys get less rebounds and he gets more, it cancels out. Also, I don’t believe that 1.6 rebounds is a significant enough increase to “change everything”. It might help the in a small way, but I doubt it would be *the* difference which elevates the team to the next level.
Isn’t there supposed to be a j in there somewhere?
Lol yep. Preciatcha
Have your hearing checked. LOL.
I think you might have been a few crajits short.
Huh? A friend of my cousin Vince told me that! Actually it was his friend! I was hoodwinked.
If I am going to misspell, then I might as well go all in.All in phun.
Will we see him given the green light to launch 3's or take mid range jumpers because I am guessing that is one of the areas scouts would like to see improvement
I'm more than okay with him taking open mid-range jumpers. He was oh-so-close to burying those this past season. As far as 3-pointers, he should only take them when the shot clock is about to expire. Leave that chore generally to the gunners. Unless he shows me that he can knock them down at a respectable clip.
Who else wants to see CC develop his mid-range game?
missed this. agree he needs to develop his mid-range and hit those jumpers
If he can drop some shots from 15 feet out at a reasonable clip the lanes to the basket are going to open up if the D is in man coverage. The guards have to make those mid-range jumpers and 3s when they are open to keep the D out of zone. Funny how shooting well is such an integral part of a good hoops team.
Heard one of the CBS guys, on a basketball podcast, say that he thought CC was a first team all SEC candidate or something along those lines.
With modest improvements, he will be. He's very close.
