UF recruited pretty hard two years ago. Think they wanted to him to go to a prep school first. Sit out one/play two. Have no idea if UF is interested. 6-10 kid out of Daytona Beach.

A 6'-10" guy from Central Florida? There is interest, without a doubt. He'd have to sit a year, get stronger, learn the Gator Way, and have two years of eligibility remaining. He was a backup at Michigan but that doesn't mean he couldn't be a good player for us with more experience.

This is the kid who we had several posters lamenting that we passed over in place of keyontae Johnson.

AKA, as I remember, UF wanted him to go to Prep school. Did not offer coming out of H.S. UF was very interested. I have no idea if they are really interested now and depending on who leaves may not have room.

yeah- he was very skinny. I think he weighed like 210.

I’d be surprised if we were interested. Or vice versa.

I have to believe we get a grad transfer or we pass. I can't imagine we have enough schollies to keep one on the bench.

With 13 scholarships it's very difficult not to keep some on the bench.

I meant to redshirt/sit while getting eligible.

13 players are never going to play. So if you are going to have a full roster of 13 scholarships, it almost makes better sense to have 1 or 2 of them redshirting or sitting out as transfers.

Of course you want to get the best players available, so if an immediately eligible starter again fell into our laps as a grad transfer I’m not saying you pass over that for “numbers”. I’m just saying it’s not a bad idea to have redshirts ready to go either.

Bassett, Gak, Hester and Okauru to start. In other words, some guys will not be utilized and will leave.

Seems to be the nature of the beast these days.
UK lost both Kahlil Whitney (mid season) and Johnny Juzang this year to transfer.
