Some on twitter/X saying the deal is done. Still waiting on a big outlet to report. Seems to be a lone wolf source at this point.
I posted elsewhere, but look at their schedule next year, a blind coach could coach against that schedule and only lose 1 game.
If you’re referring to the tweet from Pat, he is the sports guy for the NBC affiliate in Raleigh. He likely has ties within the local universities that many others would not. To me this may be the oddest career move to date in football. He’d have to consider local reputation before just tossing that bone out there.
I would think he might make a better candidate as a college football GM vs college football head coach. But who knows *shrug*
UNC must be desperate if the part about one of his nepotism sons getting to be coach in waiting. You can do better UNC>
My sources say it will be a lifetime contract, $12 million a year plus funeral expenses. No buyout, since he can't be fired. He has told his family, "I'm dying to coach there."
Based on the interview I saw yesterday that’s pretty much what he will be. He wants to build an “NFL Factory” with everything being NFL level from Conditioning to Food to Game Readiness. It seems like a head coach-GM in one with the people around him to handle it. We’ll see but I’m going to guess it ends with much to be desired.
