I posted about my youngest daughter’s subscription box business months ago. Covid has all but destroyed her previously successful art school, but the online subscription box business she created is growing. What’s more, it has been, continues to be, very well received.

She graduated from UF with an Art Education degree and invented Guide Dots. USA Today has included it in their best kids subscription box contest, and she/we need votes, please.

Just open, click and repeat (once a day). Thank you.

I looked it up and Amazon says it’s not available right now?

Very interesting, demosthenes. Thanks for checking. No idea what might have happened. Showed up just fine when I looked it up.

Still, vote please. Trying hard to grow this business. Thinking, hoping, USA Today could provide a boost.

Done. She is #3 as of now. Good luck.
Just went on Amazon. The Starter Kit is available, but not the subscription.

Yeah, scrappy. That’s pretty much because of people. The subscription is useless without the Starter Kit. Because of the lower price, folks were buying subscriptions thinking they could bypass buying the Starter Kit. The Starter Kit includes a 3 month subscription, but the 3 month subscription doesn’t include a Starter Kit.

The neat part is, folks, both parents and their children REALLY enjoy the thing, and the kids are learning, gaining all kinds of confidence and feeling great about themselves. It’s actually very gratifying to read, see the responses. As a dad, who’s not really involved, I get a kick out of the whole thing; makes me proud of my kid. I’m also absolutely floored by the amount of work that goes into development, promotion and fulfillment every month. It’s daunting.

Thanks for the votes. They help a lot.

Hi Dave, thanks. Just for fun, my kid and the story behind her Guide Dots invention.

I went back and looked at the ad on Amazon. It says 3-month online art instruction. I'm certainly not some ad copy guy, but maybe if it said Guide Dot Starter Kit, includes a free 3-month subscription of online art instruction.
Sorry, I go too far sometimes. Not trying to get up in your daughter's business.

    Oh scrappy, come on now!

One of 3, each one of them all growed up, graduated from UF, married off to half decent guys, gainfully employed and providing wonderful great grandkids for Mrs. Deathroll and myself to enjoy. My wife did one helluva job.

Love it. Not at all, hell she and her husband are doing everything by themselves, with a 1 year old and a 3 year old, while he’s holding down a full-time job and with her trying to keep her art studio afloat during Covid. It’s amazing to see the days and nights that they put in. I’ll very happily pass your suggestion along. Thank you.
