Last night against the Celtics, Cheese was in his usual spot on the bench. He was surprised when he got the call to enter the game for the first time with 3 minutes and 28 seconds left in the 3rd period and the Nets trailing by the score of 78-59. Cheese played the entire rest of the way, helping lead a comeback that saw the Nets prevail in overtime by the score of 129-120. Cheese ended up with 8 points, 4 assists and 2 steals, and was said to have played great defense. Maybe this will turn out to be the break he needs to get a regular contract with an NBA team.

He could have easily had 10 assists had they made more shots. His court vision was incredible last night. Some team will pick him up permanently, he’s a baller.

That's a great story. Coaches don't forget that kind of thing.

Last night he played the whole fourth 1/4 when the NETS scored 51 points. The most fourth quarter points in club history, Cheozza had 8 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Then in overtime played another five min as LaVert scored all 11 points to win the game.

Stan Van Gundy heaped all kind of praise on Chris.

With Kyrie out - does he get to stay up the rest of the way? I don't even begin to understand the NBA / G-league two way stuff....

14 points for Cheese tonight. Under the 2-way contract, you get something like 45 days maximum on the NBA team. I don’t know how that affects Cheese at this point.

I came across a twitter thread this morning regarding a 12-second video clip of Chiozza doing a multi-move, multi-crossover drive for a layup that got Kevin Durant out of his seat (along with the rest of the Nets bench) and walking up and down the sideline. The announcers went bonkers also.

Responses included a lot of people asking who it was, and some Gator fans (I presume) filling them in on Chiozza being a former Gator.

One tweet said the Nets had just signed Chiozza for the rest of the season, but that was probably someone who doesn't know anything.

Was about to POST REPLY, but figured I'd do a quick YouTube check first, and voila!

Hope it works after typing "voila!"

Nice to see him get a little revenge against Kemba Walker too for some 2014 FF payback...

Wrong UConn guard. That was Napier, not Walker. Was Cheese even on that 2014 team?

The Nets coach just got fired. This almost certainly will affect Cheese; whether in a good or bad way remains to be seen.

His work on the court will definitely help him, whether he fits in offense/defense the new coach wants remains to be seen. Best of luck to Cheese.

Playing well against the Lakers tonight. 6 points and 4 assists in the early going.
