I was really excited when he committed here, and even though he didn't play much in '21, I haven't forgotten about him. From everything I have seen and heard about him, not only is he an extremely talented player, but he also has a positive attitude and a GREAT head on his shoulders. I think he has the character and work ethic Napier is looking for in his players.

I just really hope Chief gets a chance to shine in '22, and I trust that Napier and his staff will give him an opportunity. I think Ventrell Miller is a damn fine player, and Hopper looked good in the bowl game, and I'm excited to have Cox coming back as well. But I think Borders will be an impact player for us when he gets a real chance to play.

In general, I think this defense has solid depth at LB and in the secondary. We just need a couple guys on the DL to step up and we'll be in good shape.

Heard a rumor that CRob has been in his ear about transferring. I can't see that happening though.

It's awesome when everyone has a fresh start.

I most look forward to players progressing over their career at UF and during the year. It's been a couple of years since we've seen that.

Following a disgruntled ex-employee who was a pretty poor linebacker coach would suggest the opposite of a good head on your shoulders. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Borders, Black, Hopper, and Wingo can do next year in Orange and Blue.

I would have a hard time believing they would follow him there with that coach probably being on the way out. Also C Rob never showed that he actually developed them. If they think C Rob is a better LB coach than a guy like Mike P so be it.

C-Rob is a shitty coach. If you want to follow him then go right ahead. You can join the grow list of wasted talent under his watch.

Don't disagree, and certainly don't understand why he was left in charge of the D when Grantham got canned. He had never been a DC whereas others had (McGriff and Pasqueloni).
Not sure if he was involved in Hoppers brief entry into the portal, but between the negative recruiting talk (as an active coach) and all the rest, good riddance.

If I remember correctly, Chief chose us over Stanford, who he seriously considered. Not that we are Stanford, but I can't imagine Chief would then 2 years later jump to an Auburn or another similar program.

Borders is as loyal as it gets. His pops brings kids down every year to our camps and for visits. His younger brother is coming up in high school and looks like a good one as well. Young men like Chief is what this world needs more of. Go Gators

These are the two reasons the transfer rumours were a bit daft. Chief seems to be a budding leader and highly invested in the school and his teammates. I imagine there will be some big things for him ahead.
