Charlie Strong to Jacksonville

I don't remember mountains being in Jax.........runs away..lol.

 

Seems Urban is largely going to fill the position coach spots with college guys he knows and has worked with. Coordinators being mentioned (Linnehan, R. Morris) are long time NFL guys. I like the approach and seems to be a good way of assuring he has “his guys” in place to build the culture while still having staff with NFL experience.

 

I'm happy for Charlie. He and Greg Mattison put together some special defenses in the biggest games. Holding The Ohio State U to less than 90 yards total offense while Captain Kirk was screaming for Michigan instead of us. Holding Oklahoma to 14 points after they set an NCAA record for most points in a season put the exclamation point on their ability to coach up the D in a the biggest of games. I will be forever thankful to Charlie for his contribution to those championships.
