I’ve watched his show. All my fam are big trump supporters (not sure they still are tbh). My mom is/was a big Charlie Kirk fan. I’ve definitely been exposed to a lot of his ideology. Some of it, I do agree with. But, he loses me with A Lot of his anti gay (lgbtq) comments, anti dei comments, etc. It’s 100% gaslighting 101 to claim so much of his defenseless ideology is all just taken “out of context”. I’ve watched his show many times. Your not fooling me with this take.

 

That's my biggest issue I think. Like I barely thought about Charlie Kirk ever, just another toady like Ben Shapiro. With both of those guys, they can never have the courage of their convictions. Say you think twice if a black woman is flying your plane, but then take the cowards route of "oh you are missing the context or larger point" when asked to answer for your own words. That works on the weak minded, less confident or those who arent confrontational, but not on people who are more familiar or confident in their POV. That's why those guys typically "debate" 18 year olds on campuses, not a professor. Say what you will about Nick Fuentes, but that guy doesnt play those games, he will just be like "yeah Hitler was cool."

 

This post pretty much proves Tilly’s point.

 

Tilly has done a commendable job defending a racist. He has shown he doesn’t understand the FBI spreadsheet he posted in defense of a racist’s comments. He also tried to change Kirk’s “white women killed by black men”, to all females, to defend a racist’s statements. All Tilly proved is that he will defend any person that claims to be conservative and Christian; without understanding Jesus’ message.

You made a mistake. You looked for data to prove Kirk’s point, then found statistics that looked like they matched and created a post around them. You didn’t realize that the statistics didn’t claim what you thought they did.

You have been provided the videos and transcripts of his podcast in which he said some awful things regarding Jewish, Black, Latin, and Islamic people. Your attempts to justify it are flawed; you cannot claim “it was out of context” an “example of someone saying something he didn’t say”; when the video and transcripts of his podcasts have been provided to you.

 

The best thing I can think of to say about Charlie Kirk was he wasn’t as vile as some others in his ideas and what he said. He typically debated politely but his clips reminded me of Jay Leno’s old Jay walking skit where he would ask people on the street questions and only people who were idiots made the show.

 

I acknowledged my misreading of the data, so not sure why you keep ranting about that.

There are many serious debaters who claim that Charlie Kirk refused to debate them. They could be lying I haven’t tried to verify.

 

Name one. I suspect you know nothing of Charlie Kirk other than the nonsense the right wing haters are spouting. He was not a good example of honest or fair.

 

Though I disagree with Tilly’s opinion of Kirk, your general premise is not factually accurate. You took your rebuttal much too far imo.

 

Lets start with the one where he ripped the fake Christian for saying gays should be stoned to death. (Even Stephen King had to apologize once he saw the truth)

 

It's ok. Look some folks can't disagree. They can't honestly allow different perspective.

I have been very fair in my shots at my own side. But some want my total bowing down to their side and get upset if someone doesn't do it.

 

That is an anecdote, if I cared I would check the veracity.
