I wanted a girl but may have dodged a bullet. My business partner has a daughter.
My daughter is 18. Boys are 16,13,11.
99% of the time I don’t want to strangle them. Lol
1K a month on groceries is getting old though. Lol
Maybe I just got lucky. I never focused on "social or pretty" with my daughter and demanded math/science grades from her just like our son. Definitely had to push back on society telling her logic/seriousness are not "girl traits" when she was 13-14ish but that only lasted 6 months. She really never was into drama, was easy as a kid, and is now majoring in math/engineering in college.
Just speaking up that raising a girl can be a smooth experience too.
Seems strange that DL is so hard for us to recruit considering our history of defensive players and our recent reemergence under Mullen. How many schools were trending better than florida at years end?
Annnnd we're kinda back on topic.
I guess I would just worry more with a daughter. I wouldn’t have wanted my teenage daughter to date me. All my boys aren’t perfect but for some reason I find it easier to deal with. I do have a granddaughter now so she is it for me.
Please accept both my congratulations and my condolences!
Dline, the inside ones are the rarest of all players besides program changing qbs. When a couple schools grab a third of them, everybody else is scratching to get a couple. We have one and I’d bet we get another. Getting 3-4 every year is optimal but obviously there aren’t enough for ten teams to all have 3-4 top 500 guys that weigh 300lbs.
We have a 9 year-old granddaughter who shows a remarkable aptitude for the natural sciences. It really is a joy to great talent in a child.
I knew you were a baller.
My daughter never gave me a worry. Didn't date in high school, only drank a little, smoked a little weed but killed it in school. Got tens of thousands in grant and scholarship money, graduated cum laude in four years with two majors. Making six figures just two and a half years out of college. Her twin brother, the smart one, is living in our basement. If I had 10 more kids I'd want them all to be girls and I'd send them all to the same school.
May be hard to top that girl. You did great. Call it a day. Congratulations
247 sports reporting we now lead for him.
4⭐️DT Charles Moore has named Florida as his leader. He is the #78th overall player in the ESPN 300.
Your mama is off-topic
I don't take the "leader" stuff that seriously, especially when it comes immediately after a visit. But good to know we're in the game, at least.
I read his comments after his visit and after all the blah blah stuff what stood out to me was he said when I take the rest of my visits I will be comparing them to Florida. Florida doesn’t need to do anything else to convince me.
That stood out. I think his “Florida is my leader” comment was genuine. I think CDM and staff hit a home run here as far as the visit goes.
Wether that transpires into a signature remains to be seen. But imo we are out in front on Moore, which I thought was a long shot 24 hours ago.
Sorry, were you referencing the typical movable comments recruits make after a visit or the above is your impression of Moore and that he has other visits to take?
My impression of his visit was a very positive one. With respect to his additional visits, which he will take, is that we are the gold standard by which all programs will be judged.
Looking at Twitter, GC, media, and staff reactions makes me think this was a home run visit.
That may not equate to a lock but I’m betting yes.
What impressed me was the intelligence and rationality in his quotes. I would be proud to have him represent us. Dont know what the future holds for him but he definitely has one.
