CFB 'Super League' Proposal Revealed; CSFL Plan Features 2 Conferences, 20 Divisions SEC and Big10 would be stupid as hell to agree to this crap.
It was always coming. If this isn’t the final version, something not too dissimilar will be. The big 10 and sec run college football and they will eventually consolidate that power.
Money and power. The ncaa is gonna get swept away and we will set the rules. And you need the whole country involved to maximize interest, but Sankey and Pettiti will run it.
No to the version they are proposing. A super League of 32 top teams split into two 16 team conferences, four 8 team divisions. Everyone else can reorganize under the NCAA banner.
If you want the small schools to get equal type pay in an NFL type minor league, then yes. But if you want to keep what little bit of the old college football we have left, then it's HAIL NO TO THAT SUPER LEAGUE. One decent thing the SEC commissioner has done since he screwed the entire SEC to ESPN as our sole network...
That sounds like where we end up like it or not. It’s the model that will create the most money because it will create the most interest.
I would have to see the teams they are proposing to be in the super league, but it's likely that Vandy isn't in that group.
Curious why you dislike this move? I believe it was considered genius, insanely lucrative, and the other conferences were dying with jealousy.
It matches the thread about fans wanting football to detach from the university and be run as a business which hires the coach and doesn't report to the A.D. Another pro league, basically.
A Top 12 historically good teams out of the SEC and BIG 10 each. Top 3 out of the BIG12 and ACC each. Notre Dame and one more at large.
