    I'll tell ya who was good last night was that linebacker dude for Clemson- the guy that got ejected. The guy looked crazed and played like an animal...

    Sorry, that was an attempted high-jacking...:p

    We're probably right where we should be 15/1 odds. If the players keep their heads about them and stay focused, if we snag a couple more decent players, if some guys step it up and people don't get injured and we have some luck...I like our chances.:eek:o_O:cool:

    Go Gators.

    Clemson is an easy favorite, no surprise there. LSU is going to lose all of their juniors and Jawja has nobody on offense coming back (which might be a good thing for them), but recent history probably makes them more obvious bets. I like where we are.

    I believe I will give all the action to UGA.

    Offering at 1-10. You give me 1 I pay you 10 if the Mutts win. Sounds like easy money.

    With Clemson's absurdly easy schedule, they should be the favorite every year. They cruise into the playoffs where they play the only two good teams they will play all year.

    UGA will have two losses before the cocktail party and we should be undefeated.
    They will likely be underdogs twice early on.

    What were LSU’s preseason odds this time last year? Just curious.

    Clemson plays at ND on November 7th. The also play Akron and the Citadel. College football is still a beauty contest just like the 80s with UM playing in the Orange Bowl.

    Im going to go ahead an scientifically assess your claim. Without any data.

    our probabilities of victory:

    EWU: 1.0
    UK: 0.8
    USA: 1.0
    @UT: 0.7
    USC: 0.8
    LSU: 0.6
    @OM: 0.7

    Favored in every game, but only a 19% chance of coming through undefeated.

    Now, let me calculate Georgia’s odds of going undefeated:

    Ok, I feel like I did a pretty through job here.

    I believe these odds reflect what the oddsmakers believe uninformed sports fans think will happen, not what they themselves think. Any dispassionate informed observer sees that next years Alabama, Georgia and LSU will bear no resemblance to this years team. Clemson makes sense, don’t really know enough about OSU.

    With TL returning and that insane re$ruiting class D$bo is bringing in they have to be that favorites. Not sure who they lose, but the acc is about as bad as it's ever been and doesn't look good for them as a whole for any team to unseat Clemson.

    As far as the gumps. . What a joke. Nick imho is no longer in his element and gump fans have turned from rabid, to rabies infested rabid calling for his head. He destroyed Tua, more JRs are jumping early than they used to, and he's turned into a whiny toddler.

    I have no doubt FL is primed to take the next leap. Perfect storm of great QB(s), great WRs, great D, great recruiting class, jelling OL, RB depth, much needed depth across the board, JRs return that normally would have jumped... I can feel the energy from Gainesville brewing!!

    Clemson loses 4 starters from the O-line and a handful of defensive starters, but there's a few key juniors like Etienne, Simmons, and Higgins who could declare or return. But their odds make sense because they'll still be way better than anybody on their schedule and that includes ND.

    As for tOSU, they lose Young and Dobbins and Okudah who are all big names. Fields is back and should be better in year 2 under Day, but the defense probably drops off compared to this past season.

    As someone else said, the odds reflect what the casinos expect the public to bet. It defies logic to say 4 of the 6 likeliest teams to win the playoff are in the SEC when in a normal year only one can get in, but that's what people will bet so that's why the odds are what they are.

    It wasn't that long ago when the Gators were 50-1 or worse (under Mac)
