Well I guess this shows us that a bird in the hand (Richardson) is worth more than the one in the bush (Beck).

We at Georgia? Are you a poodle fan or something? Your offense is Wisconsin South, boring AF. You hand off the ball on first and second down then throw a little dink and dunk on third. You can do that or you can come to Florida where the quarterback actually slings it around and isn’t the only one involved besides the running backs. Even from who is their most elite quarterback in forever is essentially a handoff monkey.

I still think he flips to Florida in December.

Beck plans to enroll early at Georgia.

“Ideally Carson wanted to be part of a system that fit him," his father said. "He just see that pro-style offense that can also go spread. Watching what Jake Fromm does he has a lot of respect for that. He sees an opportunity and has a lot of respect for Jake Fromm and how cerebral he is and feeding off that and have the opportunity whether Jake is there or not, that becomes a very powerful quarterback room. Their offensive line at Georgia is fantastic. For a quarterback, guess what, that offensive line is everything.”

It does suck he committed to the leghumpers but tbh, I think Richardson will come back. Not really worried because I think our QB situation is at a good point for the future with both Jones'. If they're not a Gator; Gatorbait. Go Gators!

The main thing I look for in a QB is being a good decision maker...

You can’t beat Kirby’s salesmanship. Receives offer Feb 27th and commits March 3rd.

The telling statement is the offensive line comparison. We are breaking in a new line whereas Georgia already has one of the elite lines in college football. For a pro-style QB, our lines over the past 10 years was a death sentence. If you weren't a running QB before, you will be. Maybe that was the selling point? Bring him into the film room and show him our last 10 years of bad offensive plays with linemen blocking each other and 2 of our "best" whiffing on pass protection last year. Then they show him their highlights and it was enough to win him over.

By the time Beck got here--if he came--we wouldn't be breaking in a new line.

Wow that quote says it all and is really tough to argue. Mullen is selling the future hoping that we'll have a good offensive line and that the offense would fit him. The past and arguably the present Gator situation shows A LOT of spotty line play, a ton of very young linemen and an offense that requires alot of running. Kirby is selling the past and present that has 5 star OL at just about every position and a QB that is very similar to Beck and has been very successful.

And a Bama program that may well be down going forward.
