I don’t know why I was thinking about this, but does anyone remember candy cigarettes?

I wonder if they are still sold anywhere?

    Cracker Barrel maybe?!

I love those things and my grown kids do too. Occasionally you can find them at some gas stations.

They're still sold. Just last year I spotted some in a store along the Riverwalk in Savannah, Ga.

didn't some brands have like a small hole drilled through them with powdered candy dust inside - you blow on it and it looks like smoke coming out?

These bring back nostalgic memories from my early youth - I also remember the small ice-creams in a cup with a flat wooden spoon to eat the ice cream - you could get those at the convenience stores as well

I remember candy cigarettes. The tip on some brands was colored red to simulate a burning cigarette. Obtainable on Amazon for the truly nostalgic among us.

Is there anything Amazon doesn't carry?

This quarantined and bored soul reviewed a few candies and gums from the past. The best thing in this clip is a brief look at his baffled dog at the 7:40 mark when the vintage candy reviewer is critiquing Hubba Bubba bubblegum tape

    .

I liked Dentyne cinnamon flavored gum. Slightly edged out my second favorite - Juicy Fruit.

Those candy cigarettes were pretty nasty. I liked them though so I could pretend to be my dad. Tasted like minty pepto chalk.

Also those wax soda bottles you had to bite the top off and then drink the syrup out of. Looking back there were a lot of gross candies back then.

Now pixie stix and fun-dip are totally different.

Bubble gum cigars were a favorite of mine, not least because they gave you such a huge wad of gum to chew.

    Yup.

Also, Bottle Caps candy that tasted like cola--loved them.
And Razzles, candy that turned into gum.
Not a fav of mine, but there was also the candy arranged on long strips of waxed paper. Don't remember what they were called.
One other, and it is still around, is Fruit Stripe gum. Great flavors that lasted all of 1.9 chews.

They tasted like dry circus peanuts to me. My (chain smoking) grandmother told me they were bad for my health ... because they had too much sugar.

I liked them until age 9. At that age, my 2 neighborhood buddies and I decided to start smoking for real. So we went to a drug store and said we needed a pack of Viceroy for Greg's dad. We paid, split them up and began our smoking lives.

We always had real cigarettes from 9 on. No candy ones. My dad gave me a Zippo lighter on my 17th birthday and told me if I was going to smoke to at least have a good lighter....I was surprised he and mom knew.
