I didn't respond when you posted this a couple of months ago, but to use an analogy Musk was roughly in the same financial position as Trump after the Donald's most recent bankruptcy. His net worth may have declined significantly but he was still probably in the top one percent of Americans in terms of net worth. Giving him credit when credit is due he is a visionary and has been able to hire excellent managers, engineers and scientists to run his companies. He together of the former reality television star who was elected POTUS is also in the process of turning the US into a second rate power.
