CRob ties are to McDonald from their time at UGA
Are there any coaches out there who can recruit and coach, preferably at the same time?
The guy the Giants fired would be a good start...
Damn missed it the Eagles thanks
C Rob has accepted the UF counter offer and will remain on staff.
FWIW - I think we're better with him than without him. And I really don't think it's close.
When does Grantham’s contract get over?
One year left
Thanks! It’s contract year for Grantham. Will be interesting.
What do you base that on? I’m still unaware if our assistants were responsible for mediocre LB/secondary play because they couldn’t teach TG’s advanced system or if TG’s system is just awkward and counter intuitive. LBs out of position in coverage and unaware of receiver routes, our talented(we hope) DBs giving so much cushion amd not challenging or disrupting at LOS. And I go by the disappointment and frustration other posters express.
But is CR a good coach? Did Michigan really want him or was he just a candidate after all? Did we counter offer because he’s really good or because a third assistant leaving for a down program would look bad, and we don’t have any strong replacements in the coaching Rolodex? I really don’t know but I would like to know the answers.
Do we really even know why our two secondary coaches were shown the door?
Yes. To save Grantham’s terrible ass who will be gone after this year regardless. Take that to the bank. It will be his choice too because Dan doesn’t have it in him to take out the garbage. Sucks but true. Our defense would be so much better in 2022 if we ripped the Grantham bandaid off now. Reminds me of giving muschamp the extra year. It’s never worth it.
English was a mediocre recruiter and bad coach. Period. I am glad he is gone. His replacement is an improvement.
I thought Gray was a good recruiter and a good coach. You would not have known that watching our secondary last year, but ... there could have been other factors at play. Rumor is, he somehow got us in the hot water with the NCAA that led to the show cause order. I do not know that for fact.
It was English who got the Gators in trouble while recruiting a player in Washington state.
It doesn't matter.
Name a LB who excelled, not named Reese. 3 yrs?
It was English that was involved with the recruiting muck. But the more that’s come out it looks more and more like it was a setup to screw us over and might be a very common practice. Coach ends up on willies staff after atm and us get narc’ed out by coach with video provided. That coach set the meeting up. That whole thing stinks to high heaven
he did have his moments but damn he was bad in pass coverage
vosean joseph hit on qb lsu - Bing video
This was definitely his biggest moment as a Gator. We don't win that game without it.
