Agree, we need some guys that are young, hungry, have a ton of energy, and ain’t afraid to work 16 or 17 hours a day… That’s what we need that could hopefully translate to better success with recruiting, scheming up, and overall teaching.
thats going to be awkward if he was slated to leave but for whatever reason switched it up. It’ll be like this in the locker room
My theory is that Mullen thought he had Ash or Strong in the bag and encouraged CR to take the Michigan position because we weren’t going to match their offer. Now that Urban screwed us over, we asked (or possibly begged) him to come back.
A lot of people were saying that here just because of his recruiting ability and not coaching. What it tells us is you have to have both.
Strange. Could also be that Michigan offered up more money than we were initially willing to pay, and we had a change of heart before things were finalized.
Maybe this has something to do with it: Baltimore Ravens linebackers coach Mike Macdonald has been named the new defensive coordinator at Michigan, the school announced Sunday. (Per TOS)
Hmmmm This thread came out on Friday. Mich had not hired their DC at that time. My guess is that they thought they had someone they wanted, and reached out to CR to make him part of the staff... then That person didn’t pan out (behind closed doors) and they immediately hired McDonald from the Ravens( on Aunday in what seemed like a surprise move) and he didn’t want or need CR so he bounced back to UF.
