Bet pearl isn't cooperating with schools investigation because he doesn't want to hurt himself in the FBI's investigation. He's not worried about NCAA rules or job security. I'd bet he wants to avoid criminal charges.

    True dat.

He can't be an ESPN talking head from Leavenworth.

Jimmy Collins is probably enjoying a lot of schadenfreude right now.

Throwing stones while lusting after Chip Kelly. Oh my defense of Cal has gotten oh so much easier...

Works only if Kelly regularly draws THE top 22 recruits in the nation each year to G’ville while at UF.

Plus Kelly didn't actually do any violations, his show cause was "failure to monitor". The actual violation sounds like something that is basically routine in college basketball with AAU coaches getting paid and then steering players.

Now I'd say that is a concern, but he didn't leave behind nearly the mess Calipari did (as far as I know Oregon didn't have to vacate any wins or records).

Funny stuff so far. Like I said. Defending Cal on here just got much easier. Like, I'll have to come up with something else to post about- kind of easy.

    Who is Chip Kelly?

If he is something related to football it would explain why I don't know him.

And if Chip is a guy I would never lust after him. I don't swing that way.

You betray yourself. This is not a place for you to defend Cal.

Without the context of this being a gator message board, any logical person would have trouble knowing who the "he" you're referring to is.

I was going to make a Bruce Pearl thread but this seems appropriate enough. Bruce shrugged his shoulders at the last play and antic, but this goes to show he'll recruit any thug and has no control over their behavior. I have a feeling if one of our players pulled that crap (I can thankfully say we don't have this type of player) White would've been apologizing to the other head coach in the handshake line or chewed the player out/disciplined him in practice.

Look at him pandering to the student section. He'll do just about anything.

I see Auburn students are skilled spellers, i.e. "crowd" becomes "croud."

Everyone lies, and not every lie is harmful. Most of the time it is simply people trying to improve their standing in the eyes of others. Harry Frankfort's book, "On BullSh**" is a great place to begin to understand the relationship between lies and living a life where the truth is inconsequential.

I have had patients who actually absorb other peoples' experiences as their own. I have often been faced with trying to distinguish exactly where the line is between exaggeration to put the best face forward and pathology.

Kant's Categorical Imperative makes for interesting B.S. (in Frankforts sense,) but , as you suggest, recognizing intention and consequences makes more practical sense and deciding that one's moral responsibility matters in the long term brings it alive. (Though the notion of punishment as motivation is low on the human scale for moral decisions.)
