The cameras they have all over the world are fascinating. I love Lioness Nikita from right there in Tampa at the Big Cat Rescue, Steve & Rachael Ospreys from Maine and my favorite of all is big old Otis the bear from the falls in Alaska. He is more than 20 years old and is a gentle giant out there fishing for salmon. There is also an old dog rescue in Tennessee where they have a whole house devoted to giving older, sick/injured dogs a place to live out there days, w/o being put down. It is really a sweet site. The cat rescue in L.A. has 7 kittens right now that are cute as can be. So many great cameras to choose from.
I warn you, explore.org is very addictive. If you love nature & animals there is no better site I've found to get a fix of each.
Check out the sunrise in Hawaii and the African watering hole as well. Glad you found it, don't know what I would do w/o it these strange days we're living in.

I can definitely relate to this.
I've been swimming upstream my whole life.

Been there 2x. Every bear has a different technique and the hierarchy is obvious. The alpha gets the spot on top by the rock and nobody else goes there when he is away

Katmai Bear Cam - Brown Bears at Brooks Falls | Explore.org

the bears are back. will be getting more numerous as July goes on. hopefully the salmon run there is better than at the Kenai peninsular this year or there are going to be a lot of hungry, angry bears. seeing a good run of fish lately so maybe that is a good sign.

There is quite the effort to remove old dams in US waterways. There are quite a few videos on YouTube about it. This opens up ancestral fish spawning grounds. Fascinating stuff.

One dam still stands on Stanford property and they refuse to let it be taken down.

I tried several times to get an empty seat price on some flights to do some remote bear viewing while I was up there last month. Tour operators were not user friendly this year. Wanted to go to Redoubt Bay one time, just not $700 worth of want for only 2.0 - 2.5 hours actually in the boat. Salmon run is just hitting Brooks Falls so it seemed a good time to bring it up. We did hike up to Russian River Falls and the red salmon were pretty thick but no brown bears in the region.

salmon busy again today, some bigger red or silvers mixed in with the smaller pinks, few cubs out and saw a nice bull moose in the background yesterday. never spotted a moose there before but we saw LOTS of moose in mid to late June around Matsu Valley and the Kenai peninsular.

Absolutely love watching this! It’s light years better than any of the mind numbing regurgitated “reality” nonsense the networks constantly churn out.
