Brian Poole who was released by the Falcons lands a 1-year deal w the Jets. Going from $600K/yr on his rookie deal to $3.5M for a 1-year deal w the Jets.

Not bad for an undrafted free agent. Always like to see our guys do well.

Ex-Falcon Brian Poole lands $3.5 million deal with Jets

Was he a cap casualty for the Falcons? I don’t keep up with NFL as much as I use too. It’s become like the Kardashians

He may have. I know the falcons restructured Ryan’s contract to make room under the salary cap as well.

I may become a Jets fan. Add Polite, Chauncey, or Taylor and I’m in.

    Great to see for Poole.

Poole was picked on in coverage for Falcons last year. Opponents completed a high percentage of passes against him. Off season

To be fair, opponents had their choice of DBs to pick on when playing the Falcons. Robert Alford was the most overpaid and overrated and was let go and still have Truffaut who won’t tackle or play tight defense.

Also, don’t forget the Falcons lost Keanu Neal and the other starting safety early in the year.

    Oh and no pass rush.

Poole had a good year the year before when there was a pass rush.

His rookie contract expired and the team declined to pick up his option. I think everyone liked him but they saw his position (#4/5 DB) as a minimal salary position.
