Didn't see another thread about this... but I have to say I'm a little disappointed that my alma mater's top recruiter is leaving for UF. Gator nation is getting a good one.

Aha! Did not know that but was wondering if there was a connection there. Glad to see it, he sounds like a very good get for UF.

This!! Obviously CDM cares about recruiting in spite of the existence of the transfer portal!

He's great on and off the field (recruiting)

Funny he was sending shots at us for recruiting Clyde Pinder late and now he's a Gator coach lol

Found this online on his recruiting practices: Tim Brewster’s Recruiting Strategies

"What I would do is "build a fence" around my entire recruiting area. My mindset is "I own this area." If there is a great player in this area, I’m going to get him. Now the reality is you’re not going to get them all. But your mindset should not change. I’m going to know every high school coach."

This guy is a Ace Recruiter. I think we may see some shuffling on the staff to make Brewster a key recruiter along with Turner and Gray. The guy can flat out recruit

For those of us who complained that we needed more ace recruiters on staff, this seems like validation that Mullen agrees.

He was the lead on Dalvin Cook (F$U), Cam Akers (F$U), and Howell (UNC). This guy locks down 5-star players

He’s such a strong recruiter that we can probably keep the not so good ones IF they are giving us elite player development.

He's very good, and I mean very.

I recall some recruiting battles we had with fsu over some players when TOG was still coach (cant recall the players), and Brewster was at fsu under Fisher...

TOG had some early success but Brewster basically owned TOG his last two years here in head-to-heads.

The man helped to bring in a ton of some of those late talented Fisher fsu classes, including Dalvin Cook too, I believe.

Imo, this hire is a game-changer for us recruiting-wise.
