IMO, it is entirely plausible that Napier's skill is in finding HS talent (and maybe transfers) that fits his analytics but it does not work finding and delegating with skill assistant coaches and their personal goals and motivations.

Acquiring talent is only one step. Acquiring quality coaching MUST work also.

STs is as front and center as to how NOT to coach as there is. Obviously the 2-coach experiment (or THESE TWO coaches) is another prime example. I still say that there are Div 2 O-line coaches who could have done a better job over the entire playing season the past two years with THIS talent and the schedules. We aren't talking about CFP level play, just WAY better than what we saw.


For two solid years.

 

So have the rumors fizzled out?

 

We posters are probably the wishful thinkers keeping the rumor alive.

Not impressed with the go-go offense in the 1st half

 

Looked pretty good at the start of the 2nd half. Two backs seems interesting.

Ah yes ... the sample size =1 crowd chimes in. I get that there will always be those who rush to this forum to post their ADHD thoughts after getting their first Gator gear discount while filling up at the local Wawa.

Name your favorite OC that you fluff yourself to and I'll find that sample size = 1 that is objectionable too.
