Well, let's not assume that quite yet. Saw how that worked out with Sanders, and many seem to think we are getting MAR despite his brother at Miami

Quite right - Or they think he’ll go to Auburn despite his brother at Miami. But all I know is I hope we land Parker. Can you imagine having a UF lineman that knows how to run block?

His brother has very little to do with MARs decision. I truly believe it comes down to UF and Aub with UF winning out.

Agree. But, my point was not that we wouldn't take him or don't need him. We would and we do. It was that we won't pull the string on him until after NSD when we've sorted out our numbers. I know Spring ball transfers will factor into that equation, too, but, that is also after NSD.

My understanding is that he still has to finish up classwork this spring at GT, so he wouldn't sign until summer regardless. He of course could "announce" whenever he wants, but that means little. While it would be ideal to have him working in the system this spring, it probably helps UF from a numbers/initial counters standpoint to have it happen later.

The main point that hits me from all this activity is that Dan Mullen continues to push relentlessly to improve the personnel content of the football team through whatever means available, regardless of whether or not it affects the final recruiting ranking (e.g., transfers like Jefferson, Grimes, Braun, JUCO, or preferred walk-on specialist pickups...). Gives me confidence that he keeps working hard even when no one is watching.

You are correct, he would not come until summer. However with his experience it should not be a problem.

Yeah...this kid is talented and smart. No way he doesn't start wherever he lands. Having him work with the offense in the spring would be nice, but not necessary

Braun is a great last name for an O-Lineman or as Spurrier would call him Brauny!

Can’t we raid an Ivy League school for a grad transfer OLineman like we used to?

Any update- seems he is taking his time and looking at a bunch of schools (which he should do). Do we still feel confident?

Believe he is refering to McElwain getting the grad transfer olineman after Muschamp left him with, I believe, only six scholly olinemen. I thought he was from Umass which is not Ivy league.
