Love it! Great attitude too. Willing to wait his turn, learn his position and get coached up! Hope he turns out to be one of our premier guys. Love his attitude. His Georgia coach vacated the scene so he joins the fun at F L O R I D A!
Building the dream!
He wants to get his masters. So we may get a smart strong OL for four years
When he attended our game vs Auburn, I thought he might reconsider Gators again. He sure did.
Good for Havesy.
We did get a “Smart” OL !
Coach seems to have agreed that the OL was an issue this year and has put on a major press to fix that with this class. We have some big talented guys who are SEC sized and should contribute very early! I love it. Bookends Walker and Braun should be a household name for the Gators very soon.
Our OL commits still use flip phones
which proves how smart they are. Very smart
I'll disagree with you and be very clear why.
We have a good OL, you know the 10-2 record with an Orange Bowl invite. You and the likes and agrees take vail shots at young men who have worked there butts off for you to type negaitive comments on a web page lol
Go tell Ethan White that he's a part of the "problem",kid has changed his body and busted his behind to start at UF!!
Recruiting the trenches is important every year!!
This portion of GC is laughable!! No MOD on here?
I'll take some of you and your ignorance on
Coach knows it needs to be better. Since his first day. And it's happening.
You're a funny guy. you claim something as negative but it was a very positive post. I can't help it if you can't expect young guys to come in and compete. You're one example is Ehtan White who is playing Guard. You and everyone else watched our offensive line this year. Sure, the pass blocking was okay but the run blocking was not at all where it needs to be. Even if they did work their (there in your case) butts off. We need a new RT for sure and the sooner the better. And back to Ethan White, since you brought him up. There were guys above him on the depth chart who also worked their butts off but when given the chance Ethan White has stepped up and filled a much needed role. With promise of having a larger role to play in the future. So, MR I'll disagree with you and be very clear why then cry about mods or wherever you were trying to go with that whine. Maybe there will be cheese later. Braun and Walker will get a chance to also work their butts off, hopefully not too much as they need some rear end to put into their work. These 2 guys will be given the chance to work their way into rotation just like the other freshmen coming in and potentially a chance to take a starting job. We have at least one Tackle who, imo, could use someone to either push him or replace him. I believe we have the guys to come in and do that very early. So, if you have an issue then I'll get you a tissue. Otherwise, move along.
Our run blocking was atrocious this year. Last in the SEC. Pass blocking was pretty good, but our OL was the weak link on the team this year. Will improve with experience, but run blocking performance is not up for debate
While i also strongly dislike potshots at players/commits, nobody I've noticed has done that. The OL was really only our weak link b/c the previous 2 staffs didn't recruit it, and our draft eligible to players left us with younger guys that weren't really ready. Mullen is killing it there for the LOS the last 2 years and no doubt these youngsters are going to be a strength very quickly.
My preferred line for next year from left to right:
Reese (MSU transfer), Gouraige, Heggie, White/Delance, Forsythe
I know it depends on getting a grad transfer, but one that is familiar with Mullen’s system. Delance did his best work at pulling this year, so he could perform well at OG (rather than tackle), but he will be pushed by White who’s coming on strong. Eguakun may challenge Heggie if he’s ready after the redshirt (but I doubt it).
