^^ LOL yep,, Bo don't know no cut off man.
Hal Baird has great stories on his college feats. Scattering the guys on back of pick-up trucks in LF at MSU with line drive homer..lol
Bo should have stuck with baseball and not ruin his career in football with that horrible injury. Just an incredible athlete.
And Bo Diddley is another level of awesome.
He was much more talented on football field than baseball IMO. But I agree longevity wise. Even though it was a flukish type injury
Not sure he was HoF if baseball only, prob. not. But almost a given if football only if no injury.
Big Hurt in college wasn't very fair either.
He wasn't all that fair at the MLB level either.
Only SEC player in HoF. Still blows my mind.. Palmeiro should be in IMO.
Is that true?
This will change quickly.
Yep & yep
Next candidates I can think of are Helton & Hudson. both ify at best
In Philadelphia, it's worth 50 bucks!
Not an immediate thing but Scherzer might have a decent shot.
Didn't play in SEC though,, does that count??
By my standard definition, I guess not.
If he stays healthy, I think Max Scherzer will have the numbers and accolades. Some people think 300 wins are needed, but we know the game is a bit different these days, and 300 is extraordinarily difficult to reach (and thus no longer the gold standard needed for a starting pitcher to be HOF worthy).
Others can make the case and points better than I can, but I think Scherzer will be in.
I think it was his JR year when Mizzou came to G-ville and he was fantastic. 2007 if memory serves.
Think it was a tourney at UF, but just guessing.. if was a tourney, I was there..lol NC ST also in that tourney maybe?? im really guessing now
AU hosted them in a 3 game series while he was there, but cant recall anything.
Wake Forest was also in it. Ohio St was the 3rd. Not NC State. 2006. Pepsi Classic.
could of been who I was thinking off rather than NC ST. there was green team also..lol MichSt??
Yeah, we went to that game together I do believe. As gt stated, Florida-Missouri-Wake-Ohio St were the four teams.
yeah, apparently I only remembered 2 teams..Cant imagine why and no green teams. lol I musta been in similar condition to you & my dad at regional game that year....
I'm not sure if it was that year or the one prior - regional that had UNC with Andrew Miller. But very hazy memories lol.
