Don't get me started on ARIC... Dude is there just for a check. He never does anything and absolutely makes no in game adjustments. You rarely.. and i mean RARELY.. even see him talking to the hitters. BUT, he's Tim's buddy so I think we're stuck with him for a while more. Their approach at the plate is absolutely horrible. Lots of talent on the team; but, no coaching at all.
You have to admit that he puts the bats back in the rack. I agree with you on in-game adjustments, there are just none.
The fantasy (mine) remains alive. Two people on a different board say they tweeted to Monica that she really needs to become the UF pitching coach and she "liked" both tweets. Just for the heck of it I sent one to her this morning.
That would be a good way to draw some transfer pitchers too. Maybe change Rylee's mind about her fifth year.
I'm pretty sure Trlicek has graduated and moved back to Texas. It would be great if a new pitching coach could change her mind, but I highly doubt that's in the cards.
Rylee will stay here and do an internship and then return to Texas. She is mulling applying to PA school. This is from her mother,
If we get a splash hire pitching coach do you think Rylee would consider playing another year? Or has she hung up her cleats? What is PA school?
Good decision to move in a different direction for coaching and recruiting purposes. Think he needs a female pitching coach.
I'm anxious to see who Tim Walton hires as his pitching coach and 3rd assistant. Could make a huge difference in how successful we are in the portal.
Your post reminded me to ask something. Figure if anyone knows this Forum does. Where the <<bleep>> did Cassady Brewer go mid season. One weekend she was coaching first and next POOF GONE? He needs to get a good third assistant to cover for his horrible buddy Aric Thomas. Damn Amanda had to go and get married and move to Clemson.. Orange and blue is in her blood, not orange and purple.
https://floridagators.com/sports/softball/roster/staff/cassady-brewer/98 was Film Intern 2 years before volunteer assistant coaching gig. Graduated with MS in June 22. Was posting positive tweets about UF softball through most of May.
Are any of the 3 mentioned under serious consideration? Three names to watch as Florida softball looks for a new pitching coach
