The only poster I ever blocked was "fredsanford" though I think he's long since been banned and returned under a different name multiple times. Actually forgot I had blocked him until now. Would rather just scroll past certain posts knowing there's nothing they add and engage with those who are willing to hold a real discussion. I assume some people have blocked me before though it really doesn't register on my radar.
No. If reading a differing opinion is too much for you. You are weak minded and self centered. You can certainly disagree. But it the essence of a Karen. I just wish Gator Country would fix the platform so everyone can see what everyone writes unless one chooses to be a Karen and ignore other opinions. It is a massive flaw in Gator Countey right now. I am not saying Karen should have to see what another writes. But others should be able to see what Karen writes so they can understand responses and what others think. It is really crappy to read a clear response to a post and not be able to see the post being responded to because a Karen blocked and ignored someone they disagree with.
I know for a fact quite a few posters on the insider forums have blocked me for me game thread histrionics I got a lot nicer once I sobered up a few years ago.
If you think someone is a troll, don't rate their posts or reply to them. If they start a thread, don't read it. We try to get rid of the trolls as we see them.
It's always been amazing to me that people will still engage with posters on this board even though debating with those posters is like yelling at a potted plant. But some of ya'll still do it.
Calling people Karens from anonymity is kind of a Karen thing too. How about just post as if you’re sitting at a table together?
It's a personal preference. You can scroll by or block, same difference. There's nothing ignoble about blocking some posters.
That is fine if you want to be a Karen and not see posts. Not sure your understanding of fascists is correct but could be. Does not change that others should be able to see what you post even if you ignore and block others…
I have not referred to progressives or “libbies” as Karen’s. That you be you making stuff up. Or maybe you are referring to them as Karen’s? I have referred to people who do not want to engage with others they disagree with as Karen’s. They could be conservative or progressive. “Libbie” or “Con”. Pub or Dem.
Before I met @Orange_and_Bluke and @Gator715 in person at the 1/6 riots, I had them on block. Turns out they are really cool guys to storm the Capitol with.
Ken, this thread does not relate to engaging with posters that one disagrees with. It relates to whether to put up with immature, obnoxious and annoying posters who contribute nothing to this board. Ken, I personally have decided that I don’t want to put up with them anymore. By the way Ken, the colloquialism “Karen” means a white woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond what is normal. Ken, the male version of Karen is Ken. I would suggest that you block yourself Ken, but since that does not appear to be possible on these message boards, I am blocking you. Ken, you’re blocked.
