I have two fewer degrees than MissouriGator (how does anyone get 4 degrees?!?) but I spent 7 years in Columbia, MO and can attest that it is possible to remain a Gator fan in Missouri.

I have no degrees from UF, but taught there for 35 years as a full time faculty member and also another academic year part-time.

My wife was a Masters in Civil Engineering and a JD.

    I guess she is a Gator and I am a Gator wanna-be?

Joakim Noah and Al Horford don't have degrees from UF either. So you are at least on par with them as a Gator :)

You're all Gator, my friend. I have the rare distinction of having two degrees and serving three years on the faculty. I preferred being a student. :emoji_nerd:;)

This kid thinks FL is the best fit over UK, Ark, A&M, Gonzaga, & TN

NCAA Basketball: Analyzing grad transfer Kerry Blackshear’s top options

Florida, in my opinion, is the best fit for Kerry Blackshear Jr. because of how well the program fits being able to provide tons of playing time and a shot at the national title. Although not ranked in every preseason top-25, the Gators project as an SEC contender with a high ceiling heading into this coming season. Their biggest issues, on paper, center around youth and a lack of proven talent in the frontcourt. Blackshear would fix both of those problems and propel the team up the preseason national rankings.

    His thoughts on UK . . .

Although Blackshear is yet to visit the campus, it is reasonable to think that they could be one of his last stops prior to making a commitment. With that said, though, there are both positives and negatives to choosing Kentucky. On the plus side, he would immediately join a roster poised to make a run at the national championship. The ‘Cats are ranked in just about every preseason top-10 without him on the roster and he will only improve their perception nationally.

On the downside, though, Blackshear’s role would not be nearly as prominent with UK as it would be with other schools. Kentucky is simply too talented in the frontcourt already and finding a solid balance of minutes for all of those players will be tough to do. Blackshear would certainly see the court for plenty of playing time but he might not be in a starring role.

Kerry is not a high school player. He is a grown man. He will make a his decision based on what he thinks is best for him and handlers and the like should be less of a concern. I think that going to UF is that, but maybe he does not.

I expect KB to pick UF. Feel very good about that.

No it isn't. The temperature of said seat is controlled by one man, And that man has not adjusted the thermostat because he does not overreact.

I have zero degrees from UF, Same as Mick Hubert and Mr. two Bits.
Was accepted but followed a different path before attending (Right choice btw)

We all have varied ties. Mine have been professional and via geography and family.

First game was as a kid in '82.

I also have an AA degree from Florida thus giving me 4. Somebody mentioned the Rathskeller. I have an award from there on my office wall. We will be great if we get kB but we still will be good without him.

UK still heavily in the picture? Sounded like you were thinking that his dad was in the pocket of the cats.
