He literally came in so late Twodaparty and nearly landed Perkins who is the best FRESHMAN defensive player in the SEC I’ve seen. This kid was born in Louisiana a corndog, grew up and played in Texas and Florida with a coach who had been here literally a few months came so close to snagging him. With him we are in the playoff this season. That’s how good this kid is. It’s sad we have to play him for 2 more years. But I have faith Blue Chip Billy is gong to bring in stud after stud and we are going to hit on a guy like Perkins going forward. Heck, he got us Kamari last moment and he looks like he may be All SEC for us in his career showing flashes as a true freshman.

Still, I wish we somehow landed Perkins. That kid is freaking amazing.

Doubt we are in the playoff, but probably looking at another win or two with him.

This Freshman has won the last two games for LSU. Yeah he is a huge difference maker. I'm hoping Diwun Black can transform to being such a player.

Yes he is a great player but if you think he is going to solely change the outcome of four games then I have beach front property in Antartica to sell you.

I think his point is: BN came in late and almost got this kid to commit. I don't think he was even considering us before that.

Bingo. We literally weren’t on this kid’s radar and he had a hard hard hard time not committing to us.

Not to get off topic (don't know what the topic really is by reading the thread title), but seeing the way Black fielded the onside kick, I think he would be much better on offense, like an H Back.

He basically is there LT. Best freshman player defensive player I’ve seen in a while. Ed Oliver (now with Bills) while at U of Houston was very good as well

I think that ship has sailed. Don’t think Diwun is that caliber a player.

No he’s elite because he came in and signed a guy like Kamari at the last second and had a guy in Perkins who wasn’t even close to considering us, on the verge of committing when we were the one school that had no tie to him whatsoever out of his finalists. Tamu, being the closest school where he played high school ball and lsu being that he’s from the state so has obvious ties.

Stop being negative and be an adult ms powers.

I like what you did there.

But can we at least wait until the class is signed where he has a full recruiting cycle before we jinx the guy please?
    Just kidding, a little. ;)

It all starts in the state of Florida. Get(actually enroll) a couple more top ten Florida kids and that gets us over the hump. Top recruits from out of state are a bonus but I don’t think we can count on them.

Not to hijacker’s but what happened? Highly rated, super athletic(?), looked like a winner… just not finding a position I guess… but he’s fast(?) and listed above 220 and cor ne surprised he can’t take 15 snaps a game at OLB and be solid.
