Yogi was a bit of a philosopher too
I like these segments of, “this day in Gator baseball history”!! Has this info been compiled like this, or, are you furnishing the research? We may need to archive this in a database?
I looked all over the internet trying to find a site on Gator sports history that was already compiled and could not find one. I do a sports history entry in the Pub and use an already compiled site 'On this Day in Sports' they do world sports so for the Pub I take out the Cricket and other sports not popular in the US, I take out all the non baseball stuff and report them in the Diamond thread. To get the Gator stuff I go through the schedule and results that are listed on the UAA site, they only go back to 2000 though, I am still looking for really old stuff so if you have a suggestion please pass it along.
Dave Fuller was my PE coach back in the '60s and I would love to find some On this Day material from the years I was a student at UF
there was only one Yogi,my fav catcher of all time, as a kid I loved hearing him in interviews and always enjoyed Casey's rambling conversations as well.
